Boot Düsseldorf: Sardinian nautical industry strengthens its presence in international markets

Sardinia’s participation in boot Düsseldorf, one of the leading international events dedicated to the boating industry, marked an important step in the process of opening up to foreign markets and strengthening the regional supply chain. The presence at the fair helped consolidate the Island’s image as a territory capable of combining maritime vocation, industrial expertise, and opportunities for productive investment.

In this context, Cipnes Gallura promoted targeted networking and positioning activities, also through engagement with specialized media and international operators. Collaboration with ICE Agency, particularly with its Berlin office, made it possible to increase Sardinia’s visibility and initiate a qualified dialogue with economic stakeholders interested in evaluating the region as a strategic platform in the Mediterranean.

During the event, data and analyses on Sardinia’s boating sector were presented, focusing on production, refit, export growth, and the economic impact generated by the presence of superyachts, as well as on the range of tools available for attracting investment, such as the ZES Unica and ERDF (FESR) funds. As a result of these activities, several companies in the sector initiated operational contacts with Cipnes to explore potential projects in Sardinia.

Throughout the fair, the Cipnes delegation, together with the project manager of the Sardinia Boat Show, Angelo Colombo, met with companies and stakeholders in the sector, maintaining direct engagement with both the national and international production systems. The dialogue with Confindustria Nautica and its president Piero Formenti confirmed a shared commitment to strengthening the Sardinia Boat Show as a strategic event for the national and Mediterranean boating sector.

The Düsseldorf experience confirms the effectiveness of a strategy that leverages the strength of the sea and boating to support the internationalization of Sardinia’s economy and to build a long-term industrial development path, in which the Sardinia Boat Show serves as a stable tool for promotion, connection, and growth for the entire regional system.
