Genoa, an international showcase for Sardinia’s boating sector
The Sardinia Boat Show took part in the Genoa International Boat Show, one of the most important events in Europe for the boating industry. The presence of the Sardinian event within this prestigious setting is part of a strategic path aimed at promoting the internationalization of Sardinia’s boating supply chain, enhancing its excellence and strengthening connections with key foreign markets.
The Genoa Boat Show represented an important opportunity for visibility and networking for the Sardinia Boat Show, which was able to present the potential of the regional boating sector to a qualified audience of operators, institutions, international buyers, and industry stakeholders. A valuable opportunity to consolidate relationships, explore new collaborations, and promote Sardinia’s distinctive identity as a strategic destination for boating and the maritime economy.
Through institutional meetings and dedicated promotional activities, the fair reaffirmed its role as a platform supporting the development of Sardinia’s boating supply chain, with the aim of facilitating local companies’ access to international markets, attracting investment, and fostering processes of innovation and sustainable growth.
A sector that, with an aggregate turnover of €644 million, ranks as the third most significant “industry” on the island. Shipbuilding, in particular, represents one of the pillars of the supply chain, with a total value of €123 million, generated by both production (€55 million) and refitting activities (€68.2 million).
Looking ahead to future editions and developments, the Sardinia Boat Show confirms its commitment to strengthening the island’s positioning within the international boating landscape, actively contributing to economic growth and to the enhancement of Sardinia’s marine and coastal resources.
