Sardinia Boat Show: 5th Edition presented in Porto Rotondo

The 5th edition of the Sardinia Boat Show was officially unveiled on Monday, April 13, at the Yacht Club Porto Rotondo, during a press conference marking the launch of the event.

Proceedings were opened and moderated by Angelo Colombo, Organization Manager of the Sardinia Boat Show and Vice President of the Yacht Club Porto Rotondo, who introduced the speakers and guided the session.

Livio Fideli, President of CIPNES Gallura, outlined the key figures behind the event and its growing international profile. He highlighted how the Show is evolving to reach a broader and more specialized audience. Looking ahead to the 2026 edition, he also presented the new layout of the exhibition area, which will be organized into thematic sections, including a dedicated institutional space for consortia and public bodies. Fideli stressed the sector’s shift toward a more industrial focus, moving beyond a purely tourism-driven perspective.

Aldo Carta, General Director of CIPNES Gallura and President of UniOlbia, emphasized the strategic importance of the Show, underlining the support of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and the shared goal of strengthening the nautical supply chain. He described the event as a platform to promote the region’s industrial excellence and emerging talent, while also serving as a hub for discussion across the sector. Key topics for the upcoming talks will include skills development, vocational training, international expansion, investment attraction, innovation, and sustainability.

Emanuele Cani, Regional Councillor for Industry of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, reaffirmed the central role of the nautical sector in regional policy, highlighting the need to balance industrial growth with high-quality hospitality, in order to strengthen the overall economic system and support its long-term development.

The Mayor of Olbia, Settimo Nizzi, pointed to the Show as a driver of local growth, stressing the importance of creating opportunities for citizens and young people through targeted investments and shared development strategies.

Closing the event, Gianluca D’Agostino, Maritime Director for Northern Sardinia, underscored the importance of pairing economic growth with forward-looking planning, fostering dialogue and strategic thinking around the future of the maritime sector in Sardinia.

The 2026 edition, scheduled from May 7 to 10 in Porto Rotondo, will feature four days of exhibitions, meetings, and talks, reinforcing its role as a key platform for dialogue among institutions, businesses, and industry professionals, while strengthening collaboration and competitiveness across the sector.
