Sardinian nautical exports: +81% in 2025
In 2025, Sardinia’s boating industry recorded a significant acceleration in exports. In the first nine months of the year, exports of vessels and RIBs produced on the island reached €34 million, marking an 80.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The analysis was conducted by the Cipnes Gallura Research Center, based on ISTAT data on regional exports (January–September 2025).
Beyond overall growth, the data highlight an increasingly international positioning, supported by greater diversification of destination markets. The United States remains the leading export market, followed by the United Kingdom, Albania, and Libya, with notable results also recorded in France, the United Arab Emirates, and other non-European markets. Overall, the geographical distribution of exports confirms the ability of Sardinian companies to compete on a global scale, capturing high-value demand and progressively expanding their commercial presence.
These results are part of the internationalization strategy promoted by the Regione Sardegna, through the Departments of Programming and Industry and the Regional Planning Center, with Cipnes Gallura acting as the implementing body. The objective is to support the international expansion of companies within the supply chain and strengthen Sardinia’s positioning as a productive and attractive territory for investment in the maritime economy.
